Valentin Vasilievich Vasenko (born April 26, 1953) is a Russian composer. One of the founders and the first CEO of the Studio "Melnitsa". In 1973 he graduated from the Volgograd College of Arts. In 1992, together with Alexander Boyarsky, he created the Midi-Cinema recording studio based on Lennauchfilm movie studio. Having got acquainted with the animating artists Renat Gazizov and Konstantin Bronzit working at Lennauchfilm, Vasenkov and Boyarsky began to collaborate with them in creating cartoons, after which Boyarsky had the idea of ​​opening his own animation studio.
