Biography

Keoni Waxman is an American director, screenwriter, producer who was born in Hawaii in 1968. He is known for writing, directing and producing action films, dark thrillers and indie dramas which he shoots all over the world for his company ActionHouse Pictures. He is best known for his action films collaborating with Steven Seagal, such as “The Keeper” (2009), “Maximum Conviction” (2012), and “Force of Execution” (2014) as well as the television series “True Justice” (2010-2012). Waxman studied film at the University of Colorado and graduated in the early 1990s. In 1996, he wrote and directed his first film, “Almost Blue” which is based on the life of jazz musician, Chet Baker. He has written several films under the pen name Darby Black. Waxman’s other films include: “The Highwayman” (2000), “The Suspect” (2006), “Anna Nicole” (2007), and “Hunt to Kill” (2010). Keoni currently resides with his family in Santa Monica, California.
