Biography
Ramiz Mirishli was born on April 16, 1934 in Nakhichevan, Azerbaijan SSR. Arriving in Baku, he entered the A. Zeynalla Musical College for a class of kemanchi. After graduation, he returned to Nakhchivan for a time, where he taught. Then he continued his musical education and in 1962 graduated from the Azerbaijan State Conservatory (Jovdet Hajiyev class). Professor (1993).

In 1962-1971, he directed a musical editorial on state television. In 1989-1995 he was the artistic director of the Azerbaijan State Song and Dance Ensemble. For over 20 years he taught at the Azerbaijan State Conservatory.
He was the author of music for dramatic plays and films, numerous songs. His songs "Gyulsara" (M. Aliyev's words) are best known, "Hello the river Kura" (D.Mammadov's words), "Nakhchivan song" (words of I. Safarli), "Waves", "Come, my life," "I found you," "Holiday evenings" are best known.
