Biography
Valery Karimov before joining the film studio "Azerbaijanfilm" named of Jabbarli, he worked in the production. He also worked in the department of "Bakutuneltikinti". Soon after he began to study photography, he changed his job to work in the film studio. In 1969-1974 he studied at the Cinematography Department of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography in Moscow. Returning to his native film studio in Baku, The first big work of the young cameraman was the feature film "Traces of traps". The film was shot in 1974 on the basis of the novel "Bridges" by writer and playwright Ilyas Afandiyev. In the same year (1974) Valery was invited to withdraw two novels in the film "Life Pages". In the novel "First Love for a Child" he works with director F. Aliev, and in the novel "The Lesson of Singing" he works with the director G. Azimzade. Valery Karimov's films have different genres and subjects: "Apple as an apple," "Dream" comedy movies, lyric-adventure genre "Say You Love Me", "Do not worry, I'm with you", "Unfinished Serenade" music films, social drama "Family" and others.
