Biography

William James "Bill" Pullman (December 17, 1953, Hornell, New York, USA) was born into a family of doctors, he has six brothers and sisters, and most of them also chose medicine as their profession. At the end of the school Pullman studied at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst at the director's faculty. Pullman produced his own theatrical plays and lectured at the University of Montana. The theatrical debut Pullman was held in New York. He played a lot on Broadway. After moving to Los Angeles, Pullman continued to work in the theater until 1987, when Mel Brooks invited him to the role in the sci-fi parody movie "Space Eggs", which became a turning point in Pullman's acting career. This role was followed by success in the films "The Tourist Willy-nilly", "Sleepless in Seattle", "While You Slept" and "Casper". In 1996, Pullman played the American president, saving humanity from extinction by aliens, in Roland Emmerich's film "Independence Day."
