Biography

Masoud Abparvar - is an Iranian  director, screenwriter and producer of Azerbaijani descent. He was born in Tehran in 1340 (Hijri). His father was from Baku, Azerbaijan, mother from Ardabil, Iran. He has a degree in Film Directing. He also studied acting at the Anahita Theater School. In 1366 Masoud received Student Theater Festival award for Best Actor. After graduating from Screenwriting Courses at Farabi Cinema Foundation, he started collaborating with Iranian filmmakers. A few years later, he and his colleagues set up an Art Development Workshop. He is known for his work on the films Hoosh-e Siah (2010), Legionnaire (2017), Darre-ye shaparakha (1991). In 2008, based on a screenplay written by Vahid Nakhish, directed political-criminal drama "Selected One "starring Elshan Rustamov, Sevinj Alishova and Kazim Abdullayev. He enjoys playing volleyball and table tennis at his leisure time and embarking on a road trip.
