Oscars 2019, Los Angeles, USA, The Full Winners List.

25 February, 2019
It's been a rather tumultous year for the Academy, all things considered. The organization announced several changes to the 2019 Oscars show over the past several months, as part of its efforts to battle the event's dwindling ratings over the last decade. However, pretty much each and every change they announced (the Best Popular Film category, not performing all of the Original Song nominees, moving awards like Best Editing and Cinematography to the commercial breaks) went over badly and the Academy was quick to back-track on them. And mind you, that's all on top of their failure to find a host for this year's show.

Meanwhile, the actual Oscars race was more open this year than it's been in recent memory. That's especially true when it comes to Best Picture, where films ranging from Black Panther to Roma and Green Book were all felt to have an equally good chance of winning the top prize, following their victories at events like the SAG Awards and Golden Globes. Indeed, in a year full of poorly-received choices by the Academy and controversial awards season contenders like Green Book and Bohemian Rhapsody, there's been a whole lot for film pundits to write about, ahead of the Oscar winners being revealed on Sunday night, February 24.

We'll be posting the 2019 Oscars winners live as they're announced throughout the 91st Annual Academy Awards tonight. Keep checking back here for the full list of winners!
